The NCC Fall Classic chess tournament is being held in Nashville, TN on Saturday,
December 11 and Sunday, December 12, 2004. This two-day event is organized by the
Tennessee Chess Association
and is sanctioned by the USCF.
The tournament will be a five round Swiss format. The three rounds
on Saturday start at 10am, 2:30pm and 7pm. The two rounds on Sunday start at 9am and 1:30pm.
The games are under a time control, with each player having 90 minutes to complete their first 35
moves. If more time is needed to complete the game, the time control goes into a 30 minute sudden-death.
To enter the event it is not necessary for you to have
a rating in either the USCF or the TCA. However, membership in both organizations is required. A one-year USCF
membership can be purchased for as low as $36 and TCA membership costs $10 per year. These
memberships can be paid for the day of the tournament or beforehand.
The cost to enter the tournament is $15 if you pre-register
by Dec. 6 or $20 on the day of the event.
